    wish me luck!

I put my name on an open route that was posted, that has weekends off. I have not had weekends off in forever. Sundays yes but Saturdays always working, which has stopped me from taking my family camping, etc, plus missed out on countless epic ATV rides and other fun events. There were 2 other names on the route but I have seniority over them by a longshot so long as no one with more seniority than me takes it it's mine. Saturday rides here I come!

Good luck, do you work at USPS? I accepted a job down here just over 2 years ago and have fri, sat, sun off. And like you upto that point I worked a non standard schedule for about 12 years to that point, and it has been great. It makes a world of difference at home.

Good luck. I had one of six weekends off for twenty years. No I have them all off! It was worth waiting for.

I worked in Motorcycle shops for 30+ years and never had Saturday or even most Sundays off. Thats one of the reasons I left and now have a regular Monday to Friday job. Not as much money but being able to do things with my
wife and friends along with getting vacations is priceless.

When will the bidding end and you will know?

Weekends off are nice and also is when everyone else is off. I worked a lot of years getting every 5th and 6th weekend off on a rotation schedule. I liked that pretty well because having2 days off mid week was pretty nice with everyone else at work and no crowds to deal with while fishing or going places. One my weekends off it always seemed crowded and I always got pulled in to family functions and other affairs I did not really care to do. After around 20 years with seniority I did get a weekend off bid but I still missed having 2 days off mid week to do as I pleased.
