    Looking for route suggestions

Driving from Ottawa, Ontario to Moab, Utah this summer (and pulling a trailer with two TW's). It's going to be our 4th trip. Looking for suggestions on the route to take this time around. We've done it I-90 -> I-25 -> I-70, we've done it I-80 -> I-76 -> I-70, we've done it I-80 -> I-57 -> I-70, this time around we are contemplating taking I-81 all the way down to the end (around Knoxville, Tennessee), and then I-40 to around Santa Fe, New Mexico and then take secondary roads up to Moab. Is there any scenery through Oklahoma and Texas or it's pretty much like Kansas or Iowa?

We need to get there sooner rather than later, so we do need to take the interstate for the most part of the trip.

    Thanks!

no, in a Jeep Wrangler, pulling the TW's on a trailer. Funny enough when we were riding around Moab last year people would come up to us and ask "Did you ride this thing all the way from Ontario?". As tempting as it was to proudly tell them "YES", we had to explain that the bikes came on a trailer

Summer? In Moab? Take along plenty of water and beer....

Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle are pretty much like Kansas and Nebraska....although there are more larger cites, Tulsa, OK City, and Amarillo, along the I 40 route...

Water is overrated, as for beer, the best place to enjoy it is at the picnic table near the office of the Archview RV park

    Thanks for the response!

LOL! You should bait a few telling them that indeed you DID ride from Ontario! I know I'd buy a round just for that...

Come into Arizona on I-40 from New Mexico and take 89 north to 160 and then 191 to Moab you will pass thru the Hopi and Navajo Nation and Monument Valley.11073741_10205032204396870_819847860_n.jpg

For something different and unique from Kansas and Iowa there is the Llano Escatado of the Texas Panhandle. Different? Yes. Scenic? Debatable, it has it's own stark beauty, perhaps best appreciated from an airliner at 35,000 ft. Inhospitable for sure, no dry land farming there. As Dorothy tells Toto in the Wizard of Oz " I don't think we're in Kansas anymore" but you would be experiencing unique topography.

Yeah, Texas is dreadfully boring, even on I-40. But as others suggested, taking 191 up into Moab is a great route. You could detour a little and visit Valley of the Gods and/or Monument Valley.
