    Stumbled across this and thought it was ingenious for the time period.

    Imagine taking that thing over a dry road-crossing.

    And imagine, then, having to replace those spiraled drums in the field - once they'd cut right open from friction on the concrete.

    Not sure of the amphibious part as there was a video of a college project gone wrong as the next video.

    And here it is in the military version. It looks completely unstoppable by anything less than a vertical wall and it just might bore through one of those.
