    Talk About Dual-Purpose!

Don't know if this should be in the kayak/boating thread or the cat thread but here is a kitty in flooded Missouri who re-purposed her litter box into a makeshift raft until rescued.

Boy, oh boy. Speaking of dual purpose, recently purchased a personal locator beacon. Not only can I use it on motorcycle and kayak adventures, given my status as a senior, I can wear it in the shower in case I fall

Which one did you get, Gerry? Is it guaranteed to work indoors?

Mcmurdo-220 Fast Find. Did not really research the 'indoors' potential. Sky view is clearly stated as the ideal. Perhaps the skylight above the tub would help

Gerry, hardly recognized you with all your clothes on.
Did you find any rescue insurance to go along with that PLB? The Fast Find 220 specs and reviews looks impressive.

Didn't check Fred as I plan to keep, but downgrade my Spot service plan. Their $ 17 for $100,000 search and rescue insurance seems to be an ok deal. And on the plus side, I can as well send a 'I'm ok' message to the Wife. Even If only a couple of a half dozen transmitted make the through, she will know I was still alive and on the move. For a $100 a year, it seems worthwhile.
