Don't like ethanol in your gas? Tell your elected officials.

At this website, Is the ethanol mandate the most broken policy in America? | Smarter Fuel Future ,you can fill out a short form and letter which is then sent to all of your local elected officials.

    I figured that it couldn't hurt. . . . . . .

I signed up, don't care if I am being duped by the oil companies into an anti-ethanol PAC. Just as long as any proposed alternative does not entail a return to MTBE ( Methyl tert-butyl ether) as an oxygenate to raise the octane number. Too much of that carcinogen is going to show up in our children's and grandchildren's drinking water already. That slippery molecule has an amazing ability to escape from storage tanks and contaminate groundwater.

I signed. I hate the effects of ethanol on small engines. There has to be 1,000's of small engines running like crap across the US because of gummed up carbs. I'm sure the emissions of these poorly running engines is way higher than they would be if they were fed a steady diet of quality fuel.
