That sounds fun!! Keep us posted on how it goes!!
I have just started up a team and so far we have three members, of which two of us are drivers and one is a wrench only. We are looking for people that are serious about helping to build, pay for, and race the car. I have already purchased the vehicle- a 1988 GMC Jimmy 2wd 4.3 v6. One of the drivers has raced for about three years. We will be meeting this weekend to begin working and planning on the vehicle. My "shop" is located near Palmetto in south Fulton county.
If you are interested, let me know and I'll give you the details on my place and when to show up.
Turns out, it is extremely difficult to find race team members. This is odd to me. Seems like everyone would be chomping at the bit to join. Not the case.
1st John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

I would love to be able to participate in one of these. Here is one of my friends' car:
LeMons The Mopar Way: The Faster Farms Plymouth - Speedhunters
I really want to do it too, and I'm trying, but it is very difficult to find people that will actually do it.
That is something on the silly bucket list for me, but I am on wrong side of nation. Surprising folks aren’t lined up to volunteer.
Maybe a custom license plate like Faster Farm’s BIGPILE might help.
Best wishes, and please share the GMC’s build.
