Saw this guy on a kayak trip down the Tioughnioga River between Cortland and Marathon today.

Very cool. I saw a pair when we were camping a couple weekends ago at Moose Creek. iPhones don't take good zoomed in pictures. All I got was a white tipped blur. Eagles are a lot more common than they were just a couple years ago when I was a kid
Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

Always a neat bird to see. River floats are good for sneaking up on your wildlife neighbors.

Seeing lots here on the 49th parallel. Saw 3 young ones on a lawn on Stewart Island 5th of July. One mature bird sets in a tree near the breakwater here and eats lots of seagull eggs and chicks. Yea more eagles fewer seagulls

Seagulls get annoying. I camped on the beach and a seagull swooped my Coleman stove and got my sausage. I'm glad it was a big sausage, he couldn't fly and I was going to take him out. I retrieved my sausage and like any real camper, washed it off finished cooking and ate it. About the eagles, beautiful birds. I had one near me that nested in the big steel power line poles. I used to watch it soar really high in the air. I enjoyed watching it. I think they relocated it though.

Try holding one on your arm. Those birds have a strong grip!
