I'm afraid I'm becoming one of those wheel-and-deal types, but there's always something else and I don't have much room or money. We'll give this a try and see if it sticks.

It look like my old one. I had the same type of fairing. I would put my toes up on the supports near the tank and would only get two spots wet onmy jeans.

it was a good bike.1959 R60. side hack was another story. The shield on it would deflect rain on me.

just noticed mine had the old style fork.

    you'll have fun with it.

This one's a R75/5, so the Avon fairing is a 2 piece. Similar, and pretty rare, but I think I'll pull it off for safe keeping. Also I'm not sure if you can get away with a BMVW hybrid on a /5, but I know it was popular on the /2's.

What a great old ride. Classic Bike Magazine just did a service article on that unit.

Very nice! I have fond memories of a R75/5, one of the best bikes I've ever owned. You'll love that bike.
Only a fool would attempt it, and God help me, I am that fool!

Had a guy come by yesterday and show me the plug-shorting method for syncing the carbs. Runs pretty nice now and seems dead easy to tune. Getting used to the geometry of the thing will take a little time, but it's comfy.
