    Local Events

Don't know what sort of local entertainment you folks have but nearby Virginia City in the Comstock offers some nice festivals. From the Grand Prix , camel and outhouse races to the testicle eating contests there is quite a bit of tourist themed Wild West attractions. However less known and much less witnessed is some really nice club racing on closed public roads. Come this September 15th there will be another round of the Virginia City Hillclimbs. Anyone want to enter their TW? Or just sneak in and be the only mid-course spectators?

Been up there for the Virginia City Grand Prix a few times. Son participates and the club he belonged to, Sierra Trail Dogs participates.... A fun event!.

This is the start. Can you imagine 500 bikes lined up on main street. 10 abreast, starting every 10 seconds... Just crazy!

The video is not of my son.

They could really post some appropriate suggested speed signs.
Sure, 145mph or so is fine on the corner approaches but don't you want to get it down to a hundred or so when you hit the apex?

Being privately owned machines this is more of an event for demonstrating engine power rather than hanging it out in the corners. Other than some of the Corvettes most of the telemetry shows few pushing the envelope beyond 1.3 lateral G's.
