Tell him we're proud of him!
    And thanks for the pic...

Godspeed to your son. I know a pops can be proud and apprehensive at the same time. Great picture that I'm sure will be cherished forever in your family.

I wish him well during his basic training.

I went through basic at Ft. Leonard Wood in January and February. I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

Good luck, and you should be proud. PS,My older brother did basic at Ft. Leonard Wood during the civil war.

We finally got this and put it up at our new place. Son should return from the "Stan" in March after a yearlong deployment. We txt at least once a week and it's dang good feeling to get a return txt.

Congrats and best wishes to your son. 12B Combat Engineer - "Essayons!" His future is wide open before him, and he will have lots of oportunity to take advantage of his experiences.

I never made it down to Ft L-W, but I know lots of guys who did exchange postings there. I hear it can be a tad warm in the summer.....
