    1920's Indian ad slogan:

"You'll never wear out the Indian Scout,
or his brother the Indian Chief.
They're built like rocks to take hard knocks,
it's the Harleys that cause the grief!"

My Old Man was a died in the wool Indian man!
“It’s more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow”.

"The less horsepower a motorcycle has, the more it can teach you.” - Ben Bostrom

And though a mountain may rise up and smack the livin' shit outta me,
and wad up my bike somethin' awful...
    Still, I rise!

Vampire technician drawing my blood yesterday praised his father's '48 Indian Chief that he inherited, got me thinking about these older 2-wheel velocipedes.
To quote: "Those boys had specially made pants, with extra room for their BALLS! What very few realize is that in 1921 America, people were dieing by the 1000's of the influenza. So any day could be your last.So you rode harder, drank more, lived in every day, as if it was going to be your last! Prizes and Trophies were just the perks.CASH was always the best prize!"
