    Hey Charlie from Arkansas here

Just picked a 09 TW last week and then joined the forum
1st TW but not the 1st Yamaha though

The TW had 700 miles on it & had never had it's first service
So I took care of that (valves loose & chain dry ) and cleaned the pilot jet too
Today I added a Moose skid plate, UNI airfilter, BatteryTender brand Lithium battery
and have Emgo handguards and EBay pegs coming

I am also waiting on a new clutch lever too
11 old grandson stalled it on a steep hill and let it tump over, only hurt his pride & the lever
1st of many to come I'm sure

    I'm a slow typer so I won't post much.

Just wanted to say hello & thanks for all the awesome info here

I did fill out my profile, so check it out for a little more info on US

Welcome. It looks like you have had a possibly fun career. It's great that you have been married 30 + years, what a blessing and very rare these days. Are your sons and daughters into the bike scene as well?

Welcome Charlie. Sounds like you have a ton of experience. We can’t tell how fast you type so no need to worry ‘bout that. Haha. I also detect a slight sense of humor. That’s always good. I too like things ending in ing. I’m very fond of “napping” now that I’m retired. Gotta get your before and after riding rests in.

    Anyway, welcome again.
cateyetech, SanDue and bad luck like this.

    Hey
    littletommy, Darth, Rickhem, & admiral

    Thanks for the welcome

    Hey Ken
    Only the boys ride
    They all rode as kids
The boys ride them HOGS, but they were eyeing the TW!

    Hey stagewex
Nice to see a familiar face/ handle here

I bought this sickle to flip, $2k
very clean, extra low miles, needs a TLC in the maintenance area. Prefect candidate for me
BUT the power/coolness of the TW got us
and the grandson loves it & so do I

Replaced that clutch lever & added the emgo barkbuster/ handguards today

    Ready for the grandson now!

Thanks again for the Awesome info, hope to see ya'll on the trail!
