    Another ATGATT "save".

I lost an awesome B.I.L. to a lightning strike, resulting in a somewhat heightened awareness. Still for some reason it isn't something I tend to sweat much over when I'm on a motorsickle. Apparently this guy walked away with only a mild case of Van Gogh ear:

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

It wasn't his time. BTW, does B.I.L. = bro in law?
Long live the internal combustion engine!

Yes. Just one of those things. Died doing what he loved and all those platitudes which we the living view as a "good" death. But my butt sure puckers a lot more when I'm "out in it" since.

I'm sure it happens to bikers more often than I'm aware of. This just happens to be the first time I've seen one reported.
