    Yamaha Snowmobiles

Just got this vid of the 2015 Mountain Sleds from Yamaha. I've had 2 Yamaha Snowmobiles. A Phazer and a V-Max. Haven't had one in a while though. How bout 16.5 inches of suspension travel! WOW!

i just watched a tv show called snotrax tv,they did a feature on that sled .i was suprised to hear them saw that artic cat is supplying the chassis and yamaha is using their own motor .i wonder if there is a merger in the future. i know yamaha suplies motors and motor components to other manufacturers such as toyota and ford ,but it seems strange for them to buy from a competator in the same field.

Yes they did join forces in the 2014 model year.. These are 2015 mountain sleds new this next season... Cat has lost Susuki for motors so yammie and cat use yammie 4-strokes in some cat models.. Then cat has developed it's own 2-strokes. Yammie gets new lighter, more nimble sleds...... Unlike motorcycles, yammie is only a leader of quality motors and not sleds itself in the snowmobile world.
