Will this stand work on a DR650?

Anyone know if this stand will work on a '97 DR650? It would be to use for oil changes, I like that its small light easy to setup.

    It might.

To use those curved brackets, you will need some type of spools mounted on your swingarm for these brackets to engage. As an alternative, you could try reversing those brackets so that the pins protrude inward and then use them to lift bike from beneath the swingarm.

I use these stands a bit:

a paddle one works great for the t-dub, although you'll have to move it as far back as possible to get the tire off the ground:

I meant spools, however some spools are also a combination of spools and sliders as Werloc points out.

Here are some spools that I got at Harbor Freight.

The following video takes 6 minutes to show a 1 minute job (if your bike already has the spool mounting points, your DR would probably require some drilling/tapping/etc. of your swingarm in order to mount spools).

This is the stand I ended up with, works great, purple paint matches bike frame exactly too (a purty perk).
