    Beemer headed for Alaska

    On my way to Bonneville last August I stopped at a rest area on I-80 in Iowa and saw this well outfitted BMW. I spent a couple of minutes talking to the couple but like many BMW riders I've met, they were anxious to put some more miles down. They said they were on their way to Alaska and it was their third time. I had to take some pics...

    That is quite a nice setup they have. Everything looks brand new.

    I have to admire anyone who could stay squeezed into the sidecar all the way from Ohio to Alaska. Wow.

    I would love to know what kind of fuel mileage they're getting with that set up. Between weight and wind resistance it would have to be 30-40ish???
