    Leading from the rear?

Recently two friends peoposed a 3 bike road trip.
Take the Alaska ferry to Prince Rupert, then switch to the Canadian ferry to go to Haida Gwaii (formerly Queen Charlotte Is.). Tour around the island, camp, motel, not sure yet.
Thing is, they both have bigger bikes. One is a KLR650, not sure the other bike, but is comparable. All kinds of hardshell cargo containers.
So, do I have any hope of staying with them and carrying my share with the TW? I have cycleracks front and back, but no panniers. I have a lot of camping and mountaineering experience, know how to go light, and have the gear to do so. Just have to figure a dufflel or something to contain it all, not too hard. Or I could buy some stuff for cargo.
My main question is the compatability of running with bigger bikes. What d'ya think?

I looked over the online map and see I am greatly favored for this trip by the limited roads, longest run is 70miles. So I know I would not be far behind. Still looking for comments on the mix, ideas.
