Just ran into my neighbor Dave.

    Entry post.
Been eyeballing Tee Dubs..forever. My buddy Tommy has one. We drool on them every trip to the Yammy shop.
Was gassing up the car about and hour ago and a dude pulls in with a nicely farked TW in his trailer. Of course I had to high tail it across the pad to take a look see and turns out the dude is my neighbor Dave !

    Hi Dave !

I'll lurk the 200 sections but until we get some tee dubs mostly me and my XT350's will probably be hanging around here.

    Keep the muddy side down.

You don't need a TW to contribute and enjoy this place.

    Welcome.

    Welcome to the forum Eatmore!

Where are you and your neighbor located? Used TW's don't eat much and generally get along well with most other bikes. So keep your eye on craigslist, one will turn up eventually.

Welcome Eatmore. Love your handle. You'll enjoy this forum a ton. When you get your TW you will enjoy it more.....maybe. This forum is awesome.

You need to arrange a ride together and trade bikes for a test.
One thing about the TW is that it forces you to go slow and just enjoy the scenery.

I traded bikes for a few miles with a friend and his XT250.
Nice bike! Much better suspension and the motor seemed to be almost twice as powerful.
But I found myself going fast, bottoming out the suspension and having an exciting ride.
I stopped and waited the few minutes it took for him to catch up on my TW and was happy to switch back.
He raced off down the trail and I followed along at a slower but, for me, a more enjoyable speed.

What was fun when I was younger just doesn't appeal as much to me now.
The TW is so easy to ride and so fun at a slower pace.

    I sound old don't I?
Well, I remember when riding my bicycle around and around the driveway was the most fun anyone could EVER have.
Our priorities and "fun" changes over time and experience.

Maybe the TW could have an advertisement that says: "The TW 200, Only for those old enough to ride it"

Thanks for the welcomes. JagLite, yah the 350 can be fast-er but it's not a motocrosser and besides..it's too much fun in first and second gear. And no you don't sound old, slow's cool.
You seen the trials riders of today ?

    Thanks .

Located up here in WA. Fixed the location in the profile.

BTW TW's like other good bikes hold their value fairly well in my neck of the woods because of the weather topography and regional motorcycling culture. Like all moto things in my life It'll happen when we least expect it. : )

    Welcome.
This is true I am a recovering Suzuki owner... Now I have my Dub and I will not turn back. Unless it was a hell of a lot of fun!
