I never thought I would own a cruiser...
    Until I tried a friend's.
So I bought a used Drifter 1500 and love it.
For just riding around enjoying the day, the scenery, and life (on paved roads) a comfortable and relaxing cruiser is really sweet.
Other bikes are much better for canyon corner carving, for riding off paved roads, for loading on the camper, and for exploring.
It wouldn't be my only bike, but as long as I have the TW the Drifter makes a fine stable mate.
(along with the DR650 and a couple others)

After owning multiple bikes at a time (7 at the most but down to 4 now) it would be hard to have to pick one to do it all.

While I am new to the TWs, I ride mine often,
I go to the Pine Barrens, I find trails and I run into town and thru bogeyed traffic.
Ive had many bikes over the years and tonight I ran some errand in the suburbs and it was such a pleasure to idle around in 4th gear at 55 Mph,
Its a tad bigger than my TW,
    But pretty much the same,
    Well,
    Kinda,
