    Looks like a 1979 era XT250
Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

The VIN will tell you what it is. Google it.

XT? The frame and swing arm look very much like my 1978 DT125. A quick search showed DT's of that era were also 2 stroke. Yam. only used that tube frame swing arm for couple a years.

Hell I have no idea, sorry.

same tube frame swing arm, but compared to my 1978 dt175, i'd guess that is earlier 70s.

I had that exact same bike, terrorized the trails and roads around Kenai, AK with it till I went off to college. Love that bike but sold it and it burned up in a garage fire. Still brings a tear to my eye thinking about it.
You can't see it if you're not out there living it!

Looks similar to this 1981 Yamaha TT250 I once owned, but since yours is the street version I'd say that Admiral nailed it as an XT250 of that era.
