    New Bike in the Garage

I added a new off road bike to the mix. It wasn't much less than my TW. Hopefully it will help keep me in shape and add to my riding skills too! Trek Stache with 29+
    tires.

Nice! You're a little up of my price range... I just moved up from my old farkled 930 Singletrak to a Marlin 6 29er. I like the 29's, but I'm not a fan of the front shock... it's WAY heavy. Will probably swap it to an airshock soon to see if I can get it a bit lighter and closer to the handling of my 930. I still love my 930... hard to part with her.

I looked at a bunch (moving up from a 26" Diamondback). End of the day, I decided on a Cheaper model (Roscoe 8), but the shop didn't have it in stock. They knocked another $300 off the Stache they had on hand. Who am I to say no? Rode it in the snow today and was pretty pleased. No way my standard 26" bike would have given me the confidence to ride where I did today.

Me too!! I moved up this year to a 2018 Marlin 5 29er with hydraulic brakes and thought it was expensive !
