Why isn't this a MUCH more popular upgrade?

I have very recently upgraded the stock headlight to a HID kit manufactured by BikeMaster. I purchased "wife bought it for me for fathers day" the 6000 h/l unit from Procycle. Now either my stocker was a dud or few TW riders actually venture out at night? The difference in output and coverage are truly unbelievable. I had an idea in my head of what performance increase would make the cost worthwhile and the performance was way better than I could have hoped for. Totally satisfied to say the least. I am off this weekend and if there is enough interest I can document the installation method that I used. I could find nothing online pertaining to a TW install.

I'm interested. As a 17 year old rider in July I need people to see me at night and me to see them

Probably what killed my Yamaha junk battery. Now using agm 7L BS. Never checked or charged for 1000 miles. Had a No start problem. Found battery low acid. Try to charge said was good. Did load test found battery was dropping volts fast on load test. Bad cell.

The HID lights actually have a lower amperage draw than the factory bulb. Should be easier on the battery.

That's awesome! I love the look of HID's.

I decided to upgrade my lighting so I stuck two 27 Watt led's on there. It's at least 4 times as bright as stock. Lights up the night like daytime! They're definitely not DOT approved though...

Very cool, I think I may look in to this, otherwise I was eye-ing out some supplementary HID bulbs for beemer GS's which I was debating trying to get fitted on the Dub,
Pricey though. I'm definitely gonna take a nother look at the Procycle option, thanks for the heads-up!
    Finally picked up a Tdub...

Thats what im running on my bike also plus two led fog lights. The hid is way brighter than the stock bulb but the way the led technology is going I would probably go with a led h4 next time. The hid is nice but there is alot of crap to tuck away. Here are some of my night time headlight comparison shots https://tw200forum.com/forum/performa...on-photos.html a buddy of mine is running these lights MondoMotos MM10 Bullet LED Auxiliary Light Kit (V2) | MondoMotos Motorcycle Lighting, LED Lighting and Accessories and really likes them. Hard to beat for the money
