    There are two things I like about this setup, actually 3. I like your mount plate location. I maybe will steal this idea, though for a different apparatus. I also like the big screen of the gps. Helps us old folks. I do wish these big gps's would have the back country topo map capability though (or maybe than can and I don't know it). However, I've seen some of these with city nav that show most forest service roads, so that's ok. Finally, if your gonna block the speedometer, nice to see a place on the gps which show speed. Thanks for sharing your idea's and solutions.

    I bought this accessory plug. Water proof, and has 12v and USB for cel phones, etc. Very happy with it. It's NOT a cheap made unit. Nice solid, quality unit. Only took 6 days to get from Hong Kong.....
