    Tire Speed Rating

I noticed the Shinko street tires have a J rating, which is 62mph. Will these be ok on the highway? The Bridgestone TW204 is rated for like 92 I think it was. Should I get those instead? On my commute I usually go around 60mph. Thank you!

    I have a 42 tooth sprocket so I can hit 75mph.

    Lisa,

Just to check, which model of Shinko tire are you running?

I have not bought them yet, I am looking at the Shinko SR428 tires or the Bridgestone TW203 and 204s.

The sizes that fit the TW are P speed rated (93 MPH). The J speed rated tires look like they are for the Zuma scooters.

It looks like you should be okay.

Cool! Amazon must have the wrong speed rating listed. The Shinkos are quite a bit cheaper.
