Question Best tail rack and soft side case combo?

In the opinion of this group, what is the best hard tail rack and soft side case combination? What would you do differently this time?

I have decided against mounting a hard case on the tail.

I am trying to keep the bike light. Although lockable hard side cases are nice, a pound here, a pound there, and then you tend to fill what you have hanging; and then before you know it, one is running around with an extra 50 pounds.

    TIA,
    Howard

I'm currently using a Nelson-Rigg Survivor Edition touring bag. The only down fall is the buckles keep breaking. So if you're willing to spend a little more money I would check out the Wolfman Luggage system.

We recently purchased 2 more sets of these...for a total of 4. They are bomber and while I tried to go with a cheaper version for the second ones, I had to return them and buy more of these because the quality is so much better.
We have thousands of miles of dirt and dust on the first ones, drops and crashes, and they still perform like new...even if they no longer look it.

The new ones, however, attach differently than the ones in this thread. Mrs Trip made some new, longer straps so they fit the TT racks. (only 2 of eight need to be longer)
I also have done the wastebasket mod to all of them, but the right wastebasket has become difficult to find.

I went with the larger sized Wolfman bags for the sides and have a SW Motech tailbag. It works pretty well as a combo. I thought about the smaller bags from Wolfman like Rhodetrip has but i wanted a little more room for more gear(packing light is not in my girlfriends vocabulary), they may be overkill but we will see. i haven't done it yet but the GF and I plan to do some trips with exgtended tent camping. I have done a lot of errands with the bags like grocery shopping and such and they work perfect.

I got the tail bag here SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection RackPack Evo motorcycle luggage system - TwistedThrottle.com

    Here are some pics.
