    I am not sure if this was discussed in the old forum, if it was please direct me there. I would like to add some more visibility to the back of my bike. I just put in a super bright led bulb for the brake light which works awesome. What I would like to do is have the rear turn signals on all of the time, except when blinking of course. I can do the wiring, just need to know what to wire. Thanks for the help!

    You could always do the giant cyclerack LED brake mod. It has two levels of intensity for running and brake. Hook up two wires and your done electrical wise. I'm using a led lamp in the stock brake light as well. If you go the route of having your rear turn signals doing double duty keep an eye out for a filament burning out or else it will look like you have a non blinky turn signal on to anyone behind you.

    Running lights only

    Brake On

    Supply List

    1 = Cyclerack

    1= LED trailer center brake light http://www.fisheries...km=on&km=entire or http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B002L9D7MQ

    2 Cushion Clamps http://www.fisheries...km=on&km=entire

    a couple of nuts and bolts to hold the clamps on.

    Wire it in to the harness behind your stock brake light and presto,,,,,

    Note: my mod won't work if you have or plan on putting a kolpin fuel can mount on the back of the bike.

    Hodakaguy's low mount led brakelight mod he whipped up pictured below

    I did this & it has been covered in the old forum, but I could not find the original post. All I did on my '08 was to replace the two-wire rear turn signals with the three-wire front turn signals, and make up a small wiring harness that picked up the hot wire for the tail light. Cost me $18 for the turn signals at a motorcycle salvage yard, and maybe an hour to put 'em on , make the wiring harness, and connect it up. Someone suggested that this sort of thing probably violates federal DOT laws. but I'm not to concerned with that..... I am concerned with visibility.

    On this topic, how could I go about replacing the rear turn signals with a set of front turn signals (with the 3-wire harness) and then wiring it in to have the same setup as the front? Could I simply wire the third wire into the brake running light? This would then look very "stock" but still achieve the running lights in the rear.

    Capt Pow!:

    Rather than the brake light, you wire it to the tail light, which is on all the time. (at least on my '08)

    Well, I ordered a pair of front turn signals from a guy here on the Forum and will relate the installation and operation in a week or two. I'll wire them into the turn signals and taillight as suggested.

    Use a hardwired adapter to make 3-wire trailer lights work with 4-wire tow vehicle stop/tail/turn, and your rear turns will also function as brake lights.

    That's a neat idea! The turn signals would "cease" blinking while the brake light is illuminated - is that correct?

    If only a turn is on, it blinks. If only the brakes are on, the turns are on solid. If both the brakes and turn are on, one turn is on solid and the other blinks. There's some magic in that wiring adapter dohickey that does that.
