How many miles on a TDub ?
There was a Vstrom guy with 200,000 they gave him a new instrument cluster
The guy in the shock thread says he's got 50,000 Km which sparked my interest
so post some big proud numbers
Still on the original top end, and it's been rode hard. SS1000, WFO for 70 miles across the desert at 112*F, lugging through gumbo mud in Georgia. It's all about regular maintenance and the right oil. I don't ride much anymore. No adventurous riding nearby, no time to take trips. 47945.6 miles on the odo--just checked.
My 1996 TW200 has 92966 km as of today.
There is now a XT225 piston and cylinder on it making it 214 cc.
Damn Qwerty, if you can get 48k miles riding hard what's mine gonna get 100k miles? Mine is 100% easy street miles, I never cruise the engine above 6500 (55 mph, 14/47) and I never ride in temps over 80.
For the topic, my TW is at 13,500 miles and it runs as strong as the day I bought it used with 1950 miles. No leaks, never has and hopefully will not for quite a while. I'm sure being 10 years old with all the original gaskets and seals (except for the new side cover gasket when I changed the front sprocket) a leak will spring eventually from rot.
2007 CB919 - 70k Miles and still runs like new!
* 2001 TW200 (Sold after 15k miles of fun)
It's always nice to know you bought something good that is going to last even if you beat the crap out of it.
I'm at 3K. lol
Carry on gentelmen
2005 & 2010 TW200
fourty four thousand one hundred and thirty
After seeing the numbers that some previous posters are putting up it makes the 14k miles on my 2008 seem rather insignificant.
