Didn't there used to be a pinned thread on how to make the seat removable without any tools?

I tried searching but I can not find it. Anyone recall that tread?

    Thanks

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

    Thanks lizrdbrth

I was going nutz looking for this thread.

When I try and do the google site:tw200forum search for this

IT always seems to only show stuff off of the old site, is that normal?

Funny... I just did this mod earlier today. It had been on my list of things to do for quite some time. Hitch pin through a m6 with the head sawed off and a hole drilled through it. I think i'm gonna follow in LB's footsteps and add some picture wire to it so I dont lose the pins.

That is probably a smart move, I'm going that way too. I know if I don't I'd be loosing pins all the time.

How bout just take the seat bolts off and forget about em? I lost mine like an idiot and haven't had any problems keeping the seat secured, and it's nice not having to deal with the damn things.

After trying several different solutions, all requiring digging under the seat, here's my solution. Of course it only works if you have the rack.

Velcro is like The Force--it has a light side, a dark side, and holds the universe together.

I pulled the bolts out of mine a long time ago and the seat is happy.
