Just got this for christmas from my gf. I spotted it in her uncles barn 4 years ago but never got around to buying it. Good thing i waited because now its free :-)

The plan is to tinker with over the winter and properly bring it to a running condition. Ill probably end up completely tearing it down to fully restore it next winter. Ill powdercoat everything myself and make it match the blue and white of my 97 eclipse spyder.

I gotta say my favorite thing about the tw is the fat tires. Very supermoto looking.

Free is good! I like free! TW looks in good shape. I suppose some TLC is in order, but I'm sure you'll have a good runner in the end.

Oh, and my shop resembles yours or what yours will look like when the overhaul is under way

    Good luck getting it going.

P.S. Black duck tape works good as a seat cover. For a year or two anyway. lol.

Nice, its hard to beat that price! The blue 87 T-Dub is a bit harder to find than the Orange one, nice find! I am in the process of a complete restoration on my 87 as well, I'll be posting Pics here soon!

That looks just like my sans the duct tape on the seat. You should be able to get a new cover for the seat and DIY recovering it.

Other than that I think it looks great!

Inspect the o-rings, screen and tubes. If the o-ring is dry, shriveled or cracked, gas can leak at the petcock base. Check the screens for old gas deposits, foreign debris, and general crud. Make sure the tubes are free and clear also.
