ATV Tire Bead Cross Section Views

If anybody has any used ATV tire take offs especially the Duro or Maxxis I'd love to see a bead cross section by cutting a tire with a sawsall etc to see the cord location inside the bead area to determine what areas can be safely shaved of rubber without exposing the steel cord

I think Fred is getting close to needing a new Duro.

If I have to saw off my bald Duro I’ll certainly take some pictures for the curious.
A 8x25x14 Cerros on a trailer rim would be my ideal upgrade but this has been the year of numerous unexpected and major expenditures.

I know the bead was so thick on my yx600 street bike tire I gave up cutting it in half, it was like a cable. I'm not sure on the Tdub but I think the atv tires have weaker beads than the normal TW tires. We will wait for the conclusion.
