Ive been looking at the raised fender solutions photos posted here, it looks like the front of the fender would be blocking the headlight beam on the road.

    just wondering....

I like the low fender more like a Paris Dakar bike.

That plate would be super easy to make! Has anyone done a double fender on the dub? High front/low rear?

I'm seriously considering a split high-low setup like the one on the new XT's.

The front half of my stock fenders keep cracking.

That plate looks nice but it also looks to have a helluva lot of slop in the triplle tee bolt holes. I hope it's made from steel.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

Yaeh mine cracked right near the mounting plate. If you end up doing it I would like to see how. I can think of ways but i'm sure however you do it will be right! I just don't have money for the error in trial and error.

why steel? i'd think if you had enough force to bend aluminum, their would be more (and bigger) problems to the fender, forks, headlight etc...

Your fork tube pinch bolts are passing through it. They're kinda mission-critical. Not something I'd want to have seated in soft aluminum or even steel with oversized holes. It appears to be of steel, but no mention of materials.
