I really like my Tusk handguards but the logo was wearing me out.

Just an FYI, a little Acetone on a paper towel will wipe the logo clean off. It doesn't damage or mark the plastic and leaves them nice and shiny and BARE.

Thanks for the timely suggestion AG - I just put on my new set last night and agree with you, no need to advertise for both Yamaha and Tusk as I wiz down the trail. I tried your suggestions and, sure enough, the black logo came right off, just as you said. However,I was left with a grey shadow where the logo had been and additional light to moderate applications of acetone did nothing to remove it. I was finally able to remove the shadow with a dampened Scotch pad and then I polished up the lightly scratched guard with a judicious application of rubbing and then polishing compound. Looks pretty good now but it didn't really look THAT bad before.

Cool. I dislike logos of any kind with the possible exception of a discretely-applied "Made in USA".

I wondered about the the Tusks, which are sort of an Acerbis knockoff. Except the Acerbis cost twice as much and the Acerbis logo is part of the shell and has to be sanded out. Cool.

Barkeeper's Friend will sometimes buff out the "shadow" without scratching the plastic.

Did I mention I hate logos?

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

Agree with hate logos. Chevy will spend thousands of dollars on TV, newsprint, magazines, billboards... But i get to pay for the right to drive down the same streets advertising their products. My guess is they don't want my name on their cars, not sure i need theirs on mine unless they want to pay me the same $ as they pay for the sign on the side of the bus!
