    Homemade Tall Windshield

I made a windshield for the TW using Lexan Polycarbonate sheet, a heat gun and a homemade bender. I started with a cardboard template and then copied it over to Poly sheet before bending. I was planning on mounting the windshield on the inside of the cowling like the other one on the market but my bending was a ⅛” large and it would not fit. However I think it worked out for the best, being that I made this windshield almost twice the height of the other one. Mounting the windshield on outside added for better stability as the wind pushes against it.

Where is the top edge relative to your Adam's apple? When I had a small wind screen on my bike, I always felt like I was headed for decapitation.

Nice job fabricating, but - You've got to be real careful with that, that you don't take off your nose or your eyes or your neck when you go over a bump and lean or get projected forward. That could be real hazardous to your health.

Thanks! The windshield sits right below my line of sight. I am planning on just using this one on the street and making another one half as tall for the dirt.

Great job - looks well done! Also it appears you were fixin' to have a BBQ judging by the "tools" on your work bench. I'm very astute when it comes to detecting BBQ activity :-)

Does this larger design get the wind over your head?
