    Folding Gear Lever?

Fred's post about brake snakes got me thinking about the gear lever. Is there a direct replacement folding tip gear lever available?

Yes, several are available in different lengths in both steel and aluminum. Check similar threads on bottom left of page for models, vendors and specs. I favor steel in that it can be bent and forth through many cycles unlike aluminum alloys before fatigue fracture failure.
