Larger Pilot Jet possibly required on an '87?

Hey folks quick question here. I backed out my pilot screw a few turns, which absolutely resulted in increased performance. However, I'm now at about 4 1/2 turns out! Most threads I have read state that around 2 1/2 turns is normally where you should be. So I have in my hand a #42 pilot jet I plan on installing in order to keep the pilot screw from being adjusted out so far. I would appreciate your thoughts!

Go for it! I did the same thing and it worked out fine. I also ended up leaning the the high speed main jet back to #112 and the bike ran great (and is still running great)!

(Make sure the rubber O ring on the original jet is OK first)

I have posted this before.....these jets come from China so there is a wait to get them but they are so dang cheap and they work well.
