eBay Zoom Zoom Chinese Carb fitment question

Just got the Chinese carb off ebay and won't be putting it on for a couple of weeks. I saw a post by BuddyMack stating he had to modifiy (bend) the bracket to work on his TW. Why was this neccessary? Cable angle/length problem or?

Anyone else have experience mounting up this carb on 2001 and later TWs ? If so lmk how it went ...

    Thanks

I installed this one and it required no modifications. Just cable rerouting on my 89 and boots for 2001+.

If you’re boots are original, they might have shrunk and hardened. That might be your biggest challenge. If you have problems fitting them, you might need a new airbox boot, or both boots. Let us know how it goes. Cheers
