    Blitz TW

I was looking for a 6V battery cover that I have on my 1969 BMW /2 for a friend. He's replacing all the old magneto/generator/stator/etc on a customers bike and replacing it with a PowerDynamo system. Very popular upgrade from 6 volt to 12 volt without changing or cutting wiring permanently on the vintage bikes.
For a collector that means within an hour or two the bike can be made back to original. Most folks will clean the old electrical gear, box it and store it. No one goes back but upon sale it goes with the bike for provenance. I have one on my /2 but unfortunately don't have the old stuff. Not a big deal because in '69 my bike was offered in 12 volt as an option.

Anyway, my 12volt battery has a protective battery cover on it that makes it look like a 6 volt battery. It says "Blitz" on the side. I have heard of "Blitz Bikes" on-line but if you google it a lot of things "Blitz" comes up. One was this French hipster site where a couple guys customize basically anything but also have a clothing and accessory thing going on too. The words "TW-Zero" caught my eye. It's really a 125 but still... interesting. So are some of their other creations at least for me to look at.

Not really my cup-of-tea. Most interesting for me was what looks like a mechanical analog speedometer. Maybe on this engine this can be done? Reminds me of the working Tachometer Holy Grail (not the digital stuff) for a TDub:

Fairly nice lines, like the details around seat fore and aft. At least the cut off end of the big frame block at front of seat is nice and square. Both of mine are most decidedly not cut off at anything near 90 degrees. Doe Yamaha have children make these cuts? New trainees? Blitz_TW_Zero_6.jpg

I'd hate to slip forward on the seat. That part there looks to be the shape of a Potato Peeler..

Good point. I also looked at that and thought two things:
    1) Why
    2) Ouch
