Hope it works out for you. I'm also curious what the difference is between the XT225 and TTR225 forks. From what little I could find the TTR seems to be a bit stiffer then the XT.

I think firefox browser went stupid for a bit because I 've been stuck with a stripped down version of the site for a week or so....but I got it back now yay!

I got my trees...they look awesome. Great condition.

This might sound crazy but looking at some specs I'm considering xt350 forks....After some more thought I want 2 - 3" higher. The seat height shown here is only 33.6"

They are supposedly 4 7/8" taller then the TW and the caliper mounts look the same....I could mount them a little higher in the forks and use a spacer on the spring to stop them from running short of travel.

Me thinks you will enjoy the improved ride more than experience any regrets when it comes to future repairs or sales. Rebuild them now if seals & fluids are old.
Any caliper mounting issues can be addressed with shims, new plate. At worst you could do as I did & acquire matching the TTR disc, rotor , hose & master cylinder ( or in your case xt350 brake components).
