    Hi you all

I will be in Japan next week, I already contacted Kyosuke and, hopefully, I will meet him at Shioyama's store in Setagaya ku, Tokyo.

I've also planned to go to Osaka (2 days) and Kyoto (1 day) but I will stay in Kanto area most of the time.

Please contact me if you're there at the same time (10/21 to 11/10)

    Thanks

    Cheers

Have fun, check out his six speed....also if you could locate me a dark green Japanese market 1998 factory TW225 headlight cowling, I would be very happy.

Yes, details on the six speed, please. And axe him about the red knob on the side of his bike. lol. Been buggin' the heck outta me.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

I don't think Kyosuke has posted since the changeover. He's a Japanese poster, and he his friends in Japan have some interesting TW's. His own bike has a 6 speed conversion, which we're all drooling over, but can't get the scoop on. lol.

You can find pics of their bikes on the old site if their posts survived.

    Hi

I created my own website (www.okaeri-japan.com) and will try to see if it's possible to export brand new or used parts from there.

I would like to know if there's an existing market for these custom parts in Northern America though, not sure because most of members here use their TW for off road purpose, it's mostly an urban bike in Japan.

I will talk about this with Kyosuke when I'm there.

I will post pictures of local bikes using my gf or father in law's computer in Honjou.

    Have a great week end

In America (and I suspect, all export models) there is only a narrow array of factory colors. (White, black, gray, and many variations of Blue) One thing this site lacks, is a photo gallery of Japanese model colors for all years (1986-) I once found a Japanese site that had every model listed in color, there is a dizzying array of color for the Japanese market bikes. If you could find a site like that, I'd appreciate a link. As far as shipping parts, I think Americans would be most interested in the colorful front and rear fenders, (the headlight and sidecovers in Japan were mostly black in color). There used to be a guy on Ebay that sold these fenders as the Japanese would remove these parts for other custom treatments. There is definitely a market for those. I have a dark green rear but never got the front. I also have Tan and Khaki, (OK I just rechecked, I need the 1998 green headlight cowl, not the green fender, I need a khaki fender) I would also like the burgundy red(1999), yellow(did they make a yellow?), gunmetal (1998) and orange(2007 20th anniversary edition only) plastics. Aside from that, the round headlights and newer style tw225 rear fender are sought after.

As far as the custom parts go, yes there is a market, I'd say oil cooler covers, fuel tank cowls, and extended swingarms would be top custom items, but also the seats and peanut tanks...

a complete TW225 engine would also be nice, but we could probably build that from the parts bin cheaper than it is to ship a whole motor. This may have possibilities, Gizmo would love it:

just change the graphics to Yamaha
