I am just a normal guy with no skills or experience in any mechanic work.

I don't have crazy tools or equipment.

I bought a pretty dirty and rusted stock TW200 2005.

hope to end up with something similar to this

Finally got the time to get rid of the rust and mod my TW.

I took everything off and found a lot of rust.

First thing I did was take care of the rust on the frame and the swingarm.

    Stripped with Rust-Oleum Aircraft Remover

This stuff strips extremely well. Most of the paint came off only 5 minutes after I painted it on.

-Treated & Painted with KBS Coatings System Sampler

This is pretty much the same thing as POR15 but I got this because it was available locally and the sampler came with 8oz of paint instead of 4oz.

stripped and converting the rust to zinc phosphate with RustBlast

painted and started putting parts back

Note: I used regular cheap 1" and 1/2" paint brushes from CVS

some places turned out very nice

    head tube

    swing arm

other very rusted places didn't turn out so well

    Tail Lights

I just bought the 90 degree mounting brackets that were about 2" in length

looks really good except that it is not in the center

    Battery

My battery tray is just cut cardboard and taped with masking tape.
Hopefully in the future I will be able to make a metal tray.
