So what's she look like now.
Relatively new to this forum, but wanted to share a build I have been doing on a TW I picked up on Ebay. Was a rusty mess when I picked up but 6 months later it is starting to take shape. Its my first steps into motorcycle world, and has been a lot of trial and error, still lots to learn so any feed back, advice most greatly received. I will start to upload photos to show you guys where I am at with it. First off is pictures from when I first got the little Dub... What a sorry state...

First things first the strip down. Armed with masking tape for labelling and my iPhone to record every stage. Such was the arduous and dirty task of stripping down that I ended up almost filling my iPhones memory, so i wont post them all! just the edited highlights...
As you can see the electrics are a total mess..
Took best part of an afternoon to get all the various parts off and the bike stripped down.
I sadly dont have any pic of all parts laid out as I was so covered in muck and 10 years of road shit I couldn't hold phone.
Next was the task of cleaning, and sending off to the powder coaters....

Took an age to gett all the parts powder coated, also no one in London does wheels, so I had to courier them to north of England to a specialist wheel painter. Full strip down, rims and hubs, painted and powder coated and them shiny new spokes... not cheap!!
Managed to pick up most of the custom parts on Japanese equivalent of Ebay, which is a nightmare to navigate. But ordered, extended swingarm, new fuel tank, lights, seat, rear fender, new chain, grips and a few other bits and bobs.. Delivery only took a couple of days and a hefty import duty bill!, this project is starting to seriously dent my wallet.
Box arrived and I was like a kid at Christmas, here is most of the parts laid out, along with the freshly coated frame, forks and parts with engine back on.
On with the build...

Picked up a bike lift which is certainly better on my back and knees
Wheels on and its out with the BA Baracus chain.... FOOL!
New Lights so she can go out at play after dark...
Somewhere to pop the all the under-seat mess.
Wiring took ages and did require help from a fantastic shop over in Shepards Bush called Motorcycle Giant. Well recommended to any London folk...
I started with a cheap gel battery from Maplin, but have since replaced that with an amazingly small Antigravity unit, which being handmade in USA should last a good while. SO far its been great.
Right in the middle of the build to add to the mess we have decided to move house, which does gain me a garden as I think my misses is starting to want the house to be a home and not a bike garage!.... so its all packed up and shipped off to sunny Walthamstow, East London.... Onwards and upwards.
Out in the new back garden she goes (don't judge our horticultural skills, we only just moved!)
On with the shiny new tank fresh from Japan... Made by a little company called Big Cedar, coming in at $520 plus shipping, by far the biggest outlay! (hope the misses doesnt read this forum!)
Very nice build mate. Originally from Hertfordshire by now live in Florida. Your garden is perfect, brought back good memories!! Looking forward to seeing the end product. I am doing a similar hollow mod with a 1999 TW200 but production has been stalled due to academy studies.
