Just ordered cyclerack front and rear. Thinking the front will be an excellent place to mount some led lighting.

here is manrack rear rack on, i will take better pics tomorrow

i absolutely love my "manrack" rear rack; it has a built in roto pax mount, and i just ordered the roto pax 1.75 gallon fuel tank, all i need to do is attach the base plate screws directly to the metal built in mount on rack and im good to go, complete refuel option without having to fuss with bungie cords; now i can ride two tanks worth of miles then refuel.

The above is from a Sept 2010 post. As far as I can see, this is no longer the case. Compare this photo of the TCI Borrego with this photo of the Moose Rack. Note that both of these links are to the respective manufacturer's website, not to resellers. Is this in accord with what you all may have seen or actually installed? To me the Moose looks more solid, with the loop below the rack surface and the shorter tab mounting to the signal light point. It is also more expensive.

I've been debating with myself for a couple weeks (since I got my new 2013 T-Dub) as to which rack to get, and have mostly concluded that, despite all the praise it gets on this forum, the CycleRack is more than I really need, and that it somewhat impairs the look of the bike. Comments on that are solicited, not that anybody here would wait for their comments to be solicited!

We call them tiedowns , we just started to make them for the TW200 bike , They bolt to the lower triple tree and give you a better place to hook your bike for transporting , We laser cut them from 10 guage stainless steel then tumble polish , we think they pretty great, goodluck to all mike
I'd like more info on the tiedowns!

    These are available from Manracks:

ManRacks is a HTML5 website Call toll free 1-855-ManRack

ProCycle also has a similar product (for half the price!):

Socal custom fab rear rack following the CR design

This rack is aprx 1.5" narrower and 4.5" longer than the CR design and has the flat rear cross member but it also has the mounts for the storage tube on each side of the rack

I actually found out after posting these pics that this rack was hand made by one of our fellow forum members Toyanvil

Anybody have any comments on the ManRack? I don't need a lot of capacity and I like the way it flows with the bike's lines.

It's better supported and more useful than the O.E.M. Yamaha item, which is shaped more like a shovel in the loading area whereas the ManRack is dead flat.

I don't care much for the "hooped" version. Too limiting if you have the odd need to cart something larger than your normal load. That hoopty thing makes my tailbone hurt just lookin at it.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.
