From what I read on other blogs, late model TWs have double walled gas tanks. I discovered a small ding on my TW's gas tank so if indeed it has double walls, my idea about trying to get out the ding from the inside is a no-go. Does anyone here verify this. Thanks in advance, Joe

    Never heard of double walls...

Well if you can touch the ding with your hand from inside the tank then definitely there's no double wall

You can try and fill it up with water then sticking it in the deep freezer for a few days. Cheap fix when it works.

No double walls. The smaller late model gas cap opening makes it a bit harder to reach in there to work out dings than the earlier models, but it can be done.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
