    Choke acting goofy

I think my choke is being persnickety. I have been having an issue getting it started. However, when I fiddle with the choke like pulling it in/out a few times and jiggling it etc it will fire right up and run perfectly. Otherwise it will crank away happily without firing.

So what is behind the curtain on my little choke knob and what may be causing this?
