    Break-in question

    Howdy Y'all,
i'm back. Still getting over surgery(May 1st) to remove Cancer from my liver. Kicked my ass but good. They're pretty sure they got it all, along with 20% of my liver.
    OK; here's my dumb question.
Just before my surgery, I put a new 1st over Wiseco high compression piston in my motor, and had the cylinder bored/honed to match. Do I need to use Dino oil for a period, or can I keep using my Castrol synthetic? How long should I run the Dino before I can go back to the Castrol?
    I appreciate ya.

I would run the dino till about 1,500 miles
Also do a few oil changes inside that 1,500 mile break in
Glad to hear your doing good!
Best medicine now is some fun on the Tdub...

+1, I'd change the oil every 200 miles or so for the first 3 changes. Glad to hear you're doin' well!
