    Kickstart only

Ive got no problem kickstarting my 1990 so what would i have to do to remove the battery and just run only on the coil?

    Jeeze, why?
I never use the button to start Diane's bike, but I dunno why anyone would want to remove the battery, and change the wiring around.

I don't know about the TW, but on a Honda Trail 110 if you remove the battery the generator voltage goes too high and burns out all the lamps. It's the battery that holds the voltage down, even if it's an old battery that won't hold a charge well, it will still hold the voltage of the generator down to where it belongs. Like I say, I don't know if this is true for the TW. It might be different.

You need to order a capacitor, which "replaces" the battery, connects to the wiring loom at about 1 20th the size and weight, and is easily tucked away in a tray under the seat (if you're hollow-modding.).
I've ridden a friends' dub with this idea in use and it was fine.

Here's a link to a capacitor, not sure if it is the same one he installed:

    Finally picked up a Tdub...
