hello all, this is a great site , glad i found it. what i need to know is can i take the front end off a 2001 and put it on an 98 without changing the triple trees? I realize i would also have to change the levers, cable and master cylinder. basically what i need to know is the fork spacing the same on both years.

    Thanks Keith

Yes, the triple trees are the same. There is a thread floating around here somewhere that tells the differences. If I remember correctly, the hub (different), the master cylinder (vs. none), the brake hose (vs. the cable), and the left lower fork (with accommodations for the caliper) is the only difference between the two models. Everything else is the exact same.
