    Adjustable Brake and Clutch Levers?

I like the idea of an adjustable front brake lever for getting the lever a little closer to the grip for my wife's bike.

Some of the guys with Honda CB500X's are using these levers: Adjustable Custom Brake & Clutch Levers - Sport bike Racing Parts-Performance Sportbike Custom Levers,Rear sets,Billet Mirror,Sport bike Accessories,
    or these: 2X CNC Short Brake Clutch Levers for Honda CBR250R 11 13 CBR500R CB500F CB500X | eBay

Just wondered if anyone has tried these before, or found a model that would fit the TW?

Well, you can't adjust the position of the lever, but what you can do is to put a little more slack in the cable so that she can keep a finger or two on the lever without actuating the brake. You could even cobble up a wedge and glue it in to hold it in that position. I would think maybe a half inch would be the max before getting it so slack that you would not get full braking power. Might work.

What year TW? Or better yet, cable brake lever, or juice brake? I have a list of what bikes share the same lever as the TW. Levers are different from different bike brands. Example, Honda levers won't fit Yamaha, or Kawasaki won't fit Suzuki, etc. And, not all Yamaha levers are the same. TW levers match up with YZ levers, but don't remember what years fit. They are different shape at the perch. If I find it, I'll post it up here. I was looking to get folding, adjustable, shorty levers for my 09 TW with juice brake. It's prolly out in my toolbox somewere.

    These are much cheaper.

Werloc is correct. If I remember YZ-85 levers will fit. Any good Yamaha dealer has a parts interchange program in their compooter.

Yeah, can't find my list. But while looking at levers a while back, I found shorty levers for my 09 TW, and there were a boat load of other Yamaha models listed including the YZ 125, 250, 450. Looking for levers for the YZ will give you the most options due to it being the most popular bike for upgrades and aftermarket parts.

Saturday, I will swap levers with my brother inlaw's 2015 WR250 just to be sure they are the same.

The lever I am looking for is for the front brake on a 2013. The Yamaha part number is 55Y-83922-02-00 (which superseded the 55Y-83922-01-00, which, in turn, replaced 55Y-83922-00-00).

My limited Google search shows that lever also fits these bikes:

    1986 IT200

    1986 – 1987 TT225

    1986 – 1987 TT359

    1985 – 1986 TT600

    1999 - 2006 TTR250

    1985 - 1988 YZ250

    1985 – 1990 YZ490

    1986 – 1996 YZ80

    1985 – 1988 YZ125

    1995 -2007 XT225

    2008 - 2015 XT250

    2008- 2015 WR250R

    2008- 2011 WR250X

Unfortunately, none of the links posted earlier in this thread show adjustable levers for any of the above bikes.

Check ASV, I have a set of adjustable levers for my Honda 919 and love them. I'm pretty sure they make them for dirt bikes too.

I noticed the first time on this bike it seemed like the clutch lever has to be a lot further out to get to where it starts to engage the clutch, compared to other motorcycles I have/had. Does anyone else notice this?

Yes, it is properly adjusted, 2-3 mm free play from perch to lever.

Well, when ordering your suppose to tell them bike model and year so they send correct levers. So yeah, I would think so. If your planning to get them, maybe contact asking first. If you do find out, or order, please let me know. I want to get them too, just don't have money right now.
