ive been reading tons of threads on the forum and seen some about doing camshaft work. is there something you do to the stock shaft or is there a replacement shaft to install. i know nothing of this topic so any help would be great. im hearing that this could be one of the most rewarding mods as far as performance and rideability of the bike...

Web Cam (stage 1 aka grind number "40a") is what I run...

    http://www.webcamshafts.com/

They only list one cam under the TW200, but you can use the TTR230 cam menu which has 3 different cams listed. There isn't a difference between the TTR and TW cams, they just happen to list more options under the TTR.

The cam is a bolt-on item.

You'll still need better valve springs. Web Cam has all the details and parts.

They never listed them as a requirement when I purchased. They do list them now. Are they required or are they trying to generate more revenue? Can't tell you. I have 1000 miles or so on it with stock springs. Not opposed to new springs but can't swing it financially right now.

Not much of a power increase so it won't matter much.

Thanks, gregg. So helpful. You really don't provide much to this forum, why even bother checking in?? If you're that bored with retirement to add useless information to TW threads maybe you should resume employment.

Most of us would if we could get the TW's other attributes along with it.

I, too, was interested in the webcams grinds after having to deal with a busted up intake valve. It's really not much work or hassle to swap the cam in these bikes: probably an hour of disassembly, and another hour of reassembly.. once I figured out that a C-clamp style valve spring compressor was the right tool for the job, anyway Maybe if a bag of money falls on my head while shoveling the porch this winter ...
