    I have purchased a new stock carb from stadium yamaha and have read the carb tuning posts. i will be riding 400 feet above sea level, what main jet do i start with and what is the base setting for the mixture screw. Almost forgot, 1990 tw200 stock

    the main jet to with is the one that is in the carb. As has been noted before, TWs come somewhat lean and when you are at a higher altitude, a leaner setting is prefered. You should be perfect with the stock setting, even tho that may not be cool when you talk to your friends. Oh well, you can always lie to them and tell them its tuned for your site. Good luck.
